About Nissan
Nissan is one of the most respected names in automobile manufacturing. Founded in Japan during the 20th century, today it is most famous for its Infiniti line of luxury vehicles, along with the Altima and Maxima. Nissan has also played a key role in the development of EV (electric vehicles), investing substantial capital and resources in them, and in the process has become the biggest manufacture in the world to specialize in such automobiles.
About 2013 Nissan Altima
The 2013 Nissan Altima is an impressive vehicle that is a considerable improvement over its predecessors. For instance, 100 mph was added to the four cylinders, which gives the car even better performance. It generates 2000 rpm (rounds per minute) when at eighty mph and 1450 rpm when at sixty miles per hour. Perhaps the best feature of this Altima edition is the CVT, or continuously variable transmission, which was improved so that friction was lowered by as much as forty percent. This is due to the internal components which are suspended in oil with much lower viscosity than in older models.
The 2013 Altima also has a unit called Xtronic, which features the sport mode which allows shift points for the generation of sound and physical experiences which are akin to a classical automatic torque converter. The 2.5 liter engine produces up to 182 horsepower with 180 pound of torque, with the option to upgrade to a V6 that can produce 270 horsepower with 258 pound of torque.
Common 2013 Nissan Altima A/C Problems
Despite its stellar performance, the 2013 Altima isn’t free of A/C problems. The most common issue reported by drivers is an A/C that blows out hot air, or doesn’t do anything at all. This issue is usually caused by the compressor, and can be resolved by ordering a new one online. The problem could also be caused by inadequate Freon levels, which means the refrigerant will need to be recharged.
The A/C can be tested by operating it at different speeds with its blower motor. If the A/C works for every setting except for the highest, only blowing out hot air, than this could be a sign that the door actuator is the problem, since it is responsible for managing air temperature.
